Todd Petr

Founder & Project Lead

Our founder, Todd Petr, brings 33 years of research experience with the NCAA to this new endeavor. In his time at the NCAA, Todd oversaw the conduct of all research conducted by the organization.  Todd has participated in research efforts that fundamentally changed the way the NCAA has accounted for academic success and regulated academic performance.  Additionally, he has been instrumental in developing comprehensive studies related to student-athlete welfare issues, athletics finances and diversity issues.  He was also a driving force behind the NCAA Institutional Performance Program – a powerful interactive tool that allows NCAA member institutions to benchmark their athletics departments against similar institutions on various key dimensions (e.g. academics, finances, diversity and health and safety). Todd received his MBA from the University of Kansas, and a BA in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis.
